At HomeAway, I focused on products that helped our property owners optimize their business and reach their goals. One of those products was Performance, where owners had the ability to see metrics on how their property was performing in the market. Though, through feedback loops and interviews, we learned that owners were having difficulty understanding those metrics and what, if any, actions they should take. We listened and revamped the experience, simplifying the UI and introducing actionable insights. This made for more digestible metrics and actionable opportunities for owners to improve their property's performance.
